Reveal: The Past
A portal to the past.
Reveal: The Past turns heritage interpretation into interactive AR experiences that visitors can explore through their own device.
Great Witcombe Roman Villa
Bringing stories to the places they belong.
Reveal: The Past is a mobile app that helps visitors explore historic places through interactive, location-based storytelling.
Built on our Reveal: Framework, it helps heritage organisations deepen interpretation on site and extend engagement before and after a visit. Visitors use their own device to follow guided trails, reveal spaces lost to time, relive key moments and speak naturally with figures from history.

For heritage organisations
Your site.
Your stories.
A digital experience
built around both.
Each organisation has a dedicated presence within Reveal: The Past and a package of experiences shaped around your own stories, spaces and visitor goals.
The shared platform gives visitors a familiar starting point while every site's content, journeys and visual identity remain bespoke. Participating organisations also benefit from new features as Reveal evolves.
Built-in analytics turn visitor paths, trail completions, dwell time and engagement hotspots into useful insight. Teams can see which stories resonate, refine interpretation and make informed decisions about future content and visitor journeys.
Reveal can keep audiences connected after a visit with updates about new stories, site news and upcoming events, alongside recommendations for other places to explore.
Reveal: The Past captures analytics that show how visitors move through the site, where they spend time, which trails they complete and which stories resonate, helping you refine journeys and plan what comes next.
Encourage visits with preview content and social sharing.
Enhance complete, ruined or irreversibly changed places while keeping the real site at the heart of the visit.
Understand how audiences engage with both the content and the physical site.
Keep audiences connected after they leave, through new stories, event updates and other places to explore.
Seasonal content refresh
New reasons
to return.
Experiences can evolve throughout the year with seasonal themes, time-limited content, stories linked to the site's calendar or standalone special events.
