Who we are

Reveal: The Past is a product of Yipikiyay Ltd. For this website, Yipikiyay Ltd is the controller of your personal information.

Yipikiyay Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 11720195. Our registered address is 28 Croft Gardens, Charlton Kings, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL53 8LG.

You can contact us about privacy at reveal@yipikiyay.co.uk.

Information you send us

If you use our enquiry form, we collect the name, email address, organisation or site, and message you provide. We use this information to review your enquiry, respond to you and continue the conversation you have requested.

Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not add enquiry details to an unrelated marketing list.

The form is processed for us by Formspree, which receives the submitted information and associated technical information needed to deliver and protect the service. Formspree operates internationally, including in the United States. You can read Formspree’s privacy policy.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use this website. It remains completely off unless you select Accept analytics.

If you accept, Google Analytics may collect information such as the pages you view, how you reached the site, approximate location, device and browser information, and interactions including watching the Reveal video, following the heritage-sites link, opening the enquiry form, selecting our email address and successfully sending an enquiry.

We do not send the name, email address, organisation or message entered into the enquiry form to Google Analytics. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled.

Your browser sends technical information, including the page URL and IP address, to Google when Analytics loads. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Our legal basis for Analytics is your consent. You can reject it without losing any website functionality.

Cookies and local storage

Select Cookie settings in the footer at any time to change your choice. Rejecting Analytics stops further collection and removes the Analytics cookies accessible to this website. You can also clear cookies and local storage through your browser.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry information only for as long as it is reasonably needed to respond, manage the resulting business relationship and meet any legal or record-keeping obligations. The period therefore depends on the nature of the enquiry and whether work proceeds.

Google Analytics retains information according to the retention settings applied to our Analytics property. Analytics cookies may remain for the periods shown above unless you reject Analytics or clear them sooner.

Sharing and international processing

We share information only where needed to operate the website, respond to enquiries, comply with the law or protect our rights. Our relevant service providers are Google for consented Analytics and Formspree for enquiry delivery.

These providers may process information outside the UK. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards made available by the provider and applicable data-protection law.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict or object to its use, obtain a portable copy, and withdraw consent.

To make a request, email reveal@yipikiyay.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
